I'm not a fan of this springing forward!

🎶 My boyfriend's back and you're gonna be in trouble
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
You see him comin' better cut out on the double
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
You been spreading lies that I was untrue
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
So look out now 'cause he's comin' after you 🎶

My local independent bookstore can order any books I need for the same price as the big box stores.
Fellow book lovers! There is a better way to buy our books than Amazon. Instead of putting $ in Bezos' pocket, every purchase on @bookshop-org.bsky.social financially supports independent bookstores. You can even select the bookstore you'd like to support.

Sometimes I think about applying to the local chocolates company to work in their chocolates factory.

It was a bad idea to check emails at 3pm on a Friday before a long weekend (Monday is Family Day in BC). I've been stressed and anxious all day - and will feel sick to my stomach until they respond 😫

I changed the phone screen protector after weeks of using one that was chipped and cracked. The last one in the box. Where are we buying screen protectors now if we're boycotting amazon? (no temu or aliexpress)

I was going to brush my teeth, but the toothbrush ran out of battery. Waiting for it to have enough charge for a brushing...

Can't I use it manually? No I can't. The Oral-B toothbrush has a tiny circle brush head that doesn't work very well manually!

In addition to cats, there are also a lot of bunnies on the Discover feed. Again, not that I'm complaining.

Is it just me or is there a lot of cat pics on the Discover feed? Not that I'm complaining.

I called the city to report our garbage bin wasn't collected. The city clerk who took my call sounded annoyed with me? Phone anxiety level back to critical for the next time I have to make a phone call 😕

I've fallen behind on my reading goal. I've read 3 books so far, when I should be finishing book 7 this week. I got caught up doom scrolling US political news day after day, which is stupid of me since I don't even live in the US.

2025 Week 1 book:

Fairy Tale by Stephen King

This was a fun page turner and one I will be revisiting because I miss the characters - especially Radar.

Putting things in perspective and a reminder what the real luxuries in life are. I really should stop feeling woe is me.

I should be reading or folding laundry. Yet, here I am refreshing the screen to see the latest posts by random strangers online.

Is there a starter pack for bookworms? How do I find other folks who enjoy reading?
