Labor's treatment of Chandler-Mather was so vicious that other MPs complained about it.

And all the victorious PM — who knows damn well how they treated him, and what happened with the votes in Griffith — can do is whine that the young MP was mean to him

This is such a poor half-imitation at the misogyny speech. We need a ban on the word mirror.

A lot of people found Max Chandler-Mather tactless, but it wasn't "offensive" of him to ask the PM questions in QUESTION TIME, and it's blatantly false to suggest he stood in front of signs like Abbott did.

As I wrote last month, there was always something off about the old moneyed Hamer's pitch to young people who can't afford homes - while opposing higher density in Kooyong and promising only Liberal solutions 🥲

Thank you so much to @anatolitis.bsky.social for letting me expound upon my thoughts. I look forward to doing it again soon 🔥

Further thoughts from me. The haters will say I am still jealous - go for it. Maybe next term Albo could spend more political capital helping the young/homeless/disabled get a home, and less on helping himself to another 🥲

Absolute nonsense being published in the national broadsheet.

The preferential system doesn't *favour Labor*, it favours voters' choices.

Incredible choice of words from Hanson given her offer came just *after* Joyce was filmed lying on the ground mumbling obscenities into his phone.

YouGov MPR underselling indie/minor party chances in a few seats (eg Bradfield) - it doesn't account for circumstances on the ground.

But if these really are the numbers after the election, Labor needs to rethink its entire strategy. Being a centrist small target ain't fuckin working.

Ah yes, "the daily lives of Jewish people," visiting Muslim-owned venues wearing a blue-and-white Star of David cap + demanding to know if servers have a problem w you after you are politely served.

"Never intended to provoke-" oh, what were you trying to report on here, Ben? How good the tea was?

When independents and minor parties are cannibalising your vote and stamping your feet about it doesn't seem to be working

Screengrab on the Guardian's version of the Zali Steggall/Don Farrell dispute so perfectly sums up the major parties' temper tantrum about the decline of their vote.

An important reminder about claims Labor's electoral reforms are designed to lock out challengers and entrench the two-party system:

Dutton doubles down on claim Dreyfus had to be silenced in QT because he accused the Coalition of "politicising antisemitism."

As @amyremeikis.bsky.social notes, Dreyfus' wife died 15 months ago. Also he hasn't been absent? Also the Coalition *is* politicising antisemitism? That's beyond any doubt.
