I write with mixed feelings to announce that today I will be sending a letter to the Speaker of the Alberta Legislative Assembly, advising of my intent to resign my position as the MLA for Edmonton Strathcona, effective December 30, 2024.

With the somewhat dark tone we’ve seen in politics lately, todays ceremony to swear in the BC NDP government was a ray of light. Congratulations to Premier David Eby, former Parkland Institute researcher Diana Gibson, my ‘almost family’ brother Ravi Kahlon and all the amazing BC NDP caucus members.
