Perhaps we *do* need to start anthropomorphising LLMs - not as reliable researchers or trusty assistants, but as familiar spirits or demons. They WILL lie and deceive, and twist your words, and seek to get you into trouble, while following the letter of their instructions.

Church events are cancelled tonight for inclement weather, so I guess I'm going to my Congressional Representative's well-kept-secret virtual Town Hall so that even in his bright red district there's witness that not everyone is OK with this coup.

New here (hi!) & delighted by the follow-backs, but creeped out by the random follows by strangers with literally no reason to follow me (no posts, no description, no mutuals). Is it rude to pre-emptively block at least those that look like bots? Should I just ignore them? What's the culture here?
