I can’t remember a time a commentary helped me enjoy God this much — so much wisdom and beauty drawn out of the Psalms. Just wonderful.

“Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster is passed.” Ps 57:1

Not watering down his disastrous reality (hidden in a cave from Saul’s relentless pursuit), yet singing (v7) beneath the wings of refuge.

Read what happened when, 45 years ago, a man holding a frozen chicken knocked on the door of Rob & Dianne Parsons’ home. Beautiful.

Swimmers wearing bobble hats is one of my favourite things about living by the coast (not pictured here because that’s just creepy 🤷‍♀️). 🎄

How is the relationship between euthanasia and social isolation (+ autism & #LD) playing out in mainland Europe right now? This is the tragic story I began my #LD & Poverty seminar with at #CTCC24.

I rarely read a book which, once finished, makes me miss a friend I never really knew — this biography is beautifully written, fair, balanced and actually made me dwell more on the grace of God at work in Elisabeth Eliot’s life, not less. Wonderful stuff.
