People say 'embrace the ridiculousness', but the problem is that this show didn't start out that way. It actually started out as a very decent drama with some amazing set-pieces. But since season 4, the show has seen a significant drop in the writing. It's a shame.

I'm worried that they're going to make all the fantastical elements some form of hallucination/PTSD. The Trojan horse in the trailer (if that's what it was) didn't seem to have much scale to it.

You'll regret it if you don't. The film is great. The story is original and fun, the animation has a cool style, and the songs are amazing. If you liked Spider-verse, you need to give this one a chance.
