I have truly grown to appreciate the Canadian system for this. If the party in power cannot pass a budget, it automatically triggers new elections. Elected officials lose their seats and have to run in the election.

FFS. I had actual injuries from fighting/arresting a drunk and didn’t charge with assault on an officer.
