Our PTSA is also trying to raise money for campus improvments. We're a fairly new school and we are struggling with parts of our campus where the grass never quite worked. Right now we have a massive space that is constantly muddy and dusty.

The United Arts Council does such an amazing job of helping schools in Wake County bring artists to our students! Here are just a few of the artists I saw this weekend.

Unfortunately, when she got to middle school, I realized that we actually have less than a third of the money (and 150% of the students) her elementary school had to budgeted for the arts.

I knocked on the Singh's door for their granddaughter, but ended up talking to them. Their registration was dropped and they weren’t sure what to do. I drove them to a Raleigh EV location where they could re-register and vote curbside with no line. We had a great time!

Here’s small (11 lbs) mutt, Shine. We’ve had her for 3 months. She’s a rescue who was somehow surviving with her brother in rural NC at 3-4 months old. She’s pretty awesome except for the first 5 minutes anyone comes to our house and she tries to protect me from danger. 😆

Three months in and the twenty-three pound, ten-year-old cat is tolerating the new puppy’s attempts to snuggle.

If you live in NC, anywhere near Raleigh/Durham and you’re not eating at Rose’s Noodles and Sweets, you’re doing it wrong. As someone who used to work for a chef with 2 Michelin stars, I feel qualified to judge every Eater article and James Beard ceremony where they’re left out! #ncfood #durham
