Truly fabulous writing and I appreciated the olive branch turn at the end too.

As a former performer and student of theater history, I appreciate those who remind us all about the roll the arts play in our society.

I attended the Honors hoping to evaluate it on artistic merit, but politics was the star of this show. Now I just want to fund a production of 'Lesbian Othello.'

🚨This book. This book is a must read.

The hopeful part of me says it could be as powerful a wake up call as The Jungle.

The cynical part of me says in this noisy media environment even The Jungle couldn’t be The Jungle.

I hope the hopeful side wins. Thank you @brian-goldstone.bsky.social.
After many years of reporting and writing, the day is finally here: THERE IS NO PLACE FOR US is out today.

I poured everything into this book, and I hope it ignites outrage at the fact that so many people in the richest nation on earth have been deprived of one of the most basic human necessities.

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

🧵Ms King passed out a budget worksheet with common goods and their prices, and the amount of money we had available to spend for the week to feed our households.

The era, and related pricing, was the 1930s. The Great Depression.

Call your US Senator and say VOTE NO on the SAVE ACT.
Corporate media is completely ignoring the dangers of The SAVE Act. Here's what you need to know about this attempt to gut voting rights, particularly for tens of millions of women in America, and how we need to fight back to protect our democracy.
