Kofi/Redbubble: https://linktr.ee/racheburn Love Hannibal 🫀 and Bucky Barnes 🦾 (he deserves all the boyfriends!) Don't feed the A/l!
I am obsessed with Daniel's hair in this movie (and his acting - but he's always brilliant).

Oh, and some paper has a front and back side but you can decide what you want for your drawing imo. Sometimes the back is nicer or more interesting at least.

I mostly use this paper, Strathmore Bristol (but also Arches when I can afford it). Watch this stuff though, if you look at it funny it gets a smudge... I try lots of paper in my own time and I notice the phrase 'artist quality' usually means not artist quality, so try to avoid 😅

The normal Faber-Castell pencils are easier to work with which kind of means I spend more time enjoying a drawing and filling in detail. But they are lighter too. And I have to be strategic (in drawing and in taking photos of a drawing) to avoid shine on heavily shaded areas.

But I also use regular Faber-Castell pencils with normal graphite for drawings and while there is some shine, they still turn out nicely. This one has a yellow watercolour marker background (Crelando).

Then some cheap paper to place over the page for protection while I work. And they usually turn out nice. If I use the black pencils there is less shine visible on the page and the tones can look deeper and fade less easily. They are trickier to work than regular pencils imo.

And I need a couple of sharpeners, at least one blade. (I save the shavings to use later) Some pencil extenders help to make pencils last.
I keep all the tools I am currently using on a plate on my desk so I can move it all easily and keep things relatively clean too.

If the client wants to share it themselves, then that is fine. So I will just share my tools here, my pencils are Staedtler Mars Lumograph black and I use three types of erasers. A putty one and a solid one (from Faber-Castell), and tiny mechanical pencil erasers (from a refill pack).

I love being able to do commissions for people but I don't often share them here because the subjects are family members, children, pets, etc. I don't even ask people anymore if they would mind if I shared the piece because I just don't feel it's right myself. It's different drawing actors, etc.

I am underwater with commissions at the moment, but here is a pencil Bucky ✏️
I used the back side of the paper this time because it looked nice.

Dulce Et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen.
"The old lie: Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori" (it is sweet and proper to die for one's country).
Owen was killed in the closing days of WWI.

Dracula's revenge can be interpreted as retribution for British imperialism. The Victorians must have felt karma was coming for them... you know because of all the genocide and colonisation... 🦇🫀
