It’s a strange thing isn’t it because I find it hard to converse with people who have views so different to mine but also realise I can’t understand all peoples views without interaction therefore won’t understand the general political vibe of the country

Been seeing lots of anti immigration shite in other apps. The usual stealing ours jobs, all young men, should stay in France rubbish. I don’t usually see stuff like this. Reminds me that I live in my own lefty bubble and that we need to mix more to understand the whole populations motives.

Today I supervised some student nurses doing cardiovascular health checks in a community centre. Checks aimed at people living in deprivation who have difficulty accessing health care. Finger prick blood glucose and cholesterol, BP, pulse, weight and height.

I join social media to use it as a way to see up to date research. Talk evidence based practice. Discuss social, political and economic policies and how they affect health. BUT I always just end up looking at cats.
