The uses of baryte for medical purposes are good but the vast majority of baryte is used in oil and gas drilling, so it's contributing to climate change. No thanks.

Garnet won Mineral Cup in 2018. www.mineralcup.org/mincup2018 Previous winners don't return to compete again but will all compete in a winners cup once there have been 8 winners (I.e. after this year's cup). So you'll see garnet appear for that soon.
