An amazing book… I have used this recently for an example shared reading text with our staff to show how to do close reading over multiple reads. The version we used is called The First Journey and has different text though. A translation thing maybe? The text in this version is stunning

It’s amazing how long toast takes to cook on a gas stove - power outage this morning and I am struggling without my coffee! ☕️ We certainly do take flicking the switch and having power for granted… 🙃

💜🌟What an amazing 1st week back at Dayton PS! Our teachers completely nailed the brief of starting strong 💪🏽 in 2025 with a focus on being warm + demanding. Positive relationships matched with high expectations & clear routines & structures. It’s going to be an awesome year! @rayboyd007.bsky.social
