Thank you Johnny, a thoughtful considered response as expected. For what it’s worth I think the priority point is the crux of it. The ‘public’ are just not an audience HEP’s have the resource to persuade. Creating local allies/advocates by doing all the things you described will serve them well

I, of course, agree with you Johnny - out of interest, why you think Unis struggle to articulate that message to the wider public and moreover their localities?

I am relying on you just as much.

I hope in 2 months time we drop all other forms of communication (inc face to face) and we only communicate here
