I've been watching 90s and 00s popcorn flicks with my kids (Independence Day, National Treasure, Men In Black, etc.) and I was briefly wondering why there aren't a lot of these style of movies anymore, when it occurred to me that they've basically all been subsumed by franchise/superhero movies.

It feels about time for a new sect to develop from this edition of Christianity that course corrects similarly

Can't tell if the NBA media types being like, "These games and players are awesome, the NBA isn't dead at all and romanticizing the past is ridiculous," are intentionally missing the actual issue (non all-caps NBA FANS aren't watching/engaging) or if they're too insulated to understand it.
