The fact that the CPU is sometimes worse than the 14900k is not bad, but not good either. At least it's no longer impossible to cool the CPU. I don't know how the temps are when you overclock the cpu. We will see.
In terms of gaming, buy an X3D CPU, you'll get more out of it.

Don't get me wrong, the Intel Core Ultra 9 285k is wonderful in gaming. But it is simply NOT a gaming cpu.

Overall you have to say Intel is taking a step in the right direction, a bit disappointing that there are only a few good points.⬇️

For being a new CPU generation, it is very disappointing. The important points have finally been improved, but that's about it. I don't understand why it is advertised as a gaming CPU when the CPU is partly worse in gaming than the 14900k.
