Amy: Protest is important, and defending your right to protest is important. There have been some 49 new forms of legislation across Australia penalising aspects of protest, and it is mostly progressive voices that are being policed.

Prof John Minns: We need to be very clear. The flavour of the rallies was very clear, not only were nazis present, they were in some cases invited. This wasn’t a discussion about numbers.
