Completely agree with you and on board that our society’s obsession with celebrity is net not a good thing. I just hope that the rejection of Katy Perry’s inane bullshit is exactly that and not just casual misogyny dressed up. I hope we could do the same to a male celeb.

I completely agree that age verification is insidious. But, we do need to do something to protect kids using the internet. I don’t know what that looks like but a version of age verification that by design can’t be abused by someone looking to make a profit is ideal.
