Skyrim was fun but Oblivion had that “push it ‘til it breaks” magic that really hummed for people just being introduced to RPGs on major platforms.

Tyrant Philosophers is great, but of that series I think House of Open Wounds is a stronger book. It works as a stand alone. City of Last chances is a bit too on the nose of an ode to Les Mis.
