My fellow New Yorkers! I have a letter that could really use your signature:
d.aye.nu/hochul

As a proud New Yorker, I offer her hizuk (strength) to resist pressure from the White House and embrace the full vision of the CLCPA to achieve safe, affordable, and reliable energy access.

Rabbi Arthur Waskow, who passed away this week at the age of 92, was a prophetic voice on climate decades before others awakened, and always rooted deeply in Jewish tradition.

Such a joy to be at El Puente celebrating @keyachatterjee.bsky.social's new book: “The Revolution Will Not Be Rated G.”

Her spicy romance novel brilliantly takes on fascism with both wit and heart, and is a powerful reminder that pleasure and building power go hand-in-hand.

I am excited to share news of @joindayenu.bsky.social's newest Advisory Board member, Liya Rechtman!

She is a deep thinker, a fierce Jewish progressive voice, and has been a Dayenu champion from the beginning. Welcome Liya!

Repealing the Endangerment Finding is like tossing out the Ten Commandments.

Mr. Zeldin's EPA is not only denying what's fundamentally true about the world, but is tearing out the foundation of our country’s climate regulatory framework.

It is difficult to overstate how much Joanna Macy's generous wisdom has shaped my personal encounter with the climate crisis.

“The Work That Reconnects” has also been a profound inspiration for @joinDayenu’s Spiritual Adaptation work.

May her memory be a blessing.

As catastrophic flooding continues during these weeks of mourning leading to Tisha B’Av, words from the book of Lamentations (2:11) echo in my head:

My eyes are spent with tears, / My heart is in tumult, / My being melts away / Over the ruin of my poor people / As children languish…

Can we talk – Dayenu?
Ahead of Passover, I was delighted to chat w Jen Richler on "Can We Talk?" a podcast from @jwaonline.bsky.social.
We discussed climate activism in a new political landscape, and how the fight for climate action echoes the Israelites’ Exodus from Egypt.

This week, I had the privilege to join climate leaders in Houston to send a message to fossil fuel execs at CeraWeek. We came together from many faiths and communities across the country to tell polluters: No Faith In Fossil Fuels!

It was a packed house at last night’s NYC Mayoral Forum!

Lots of good ideas from the candidates on how to ensure NYC can lead on climate + address the intersecting issues of housing, public health, and racial justice.

Honored to be part of Redwood Musical's social impact night! 🎼🌳

It was moving to see the themes of the climate crisis, tikkun olam, and finding life amidst grief so powerfully rendered on the Broadway stage by Idina Menzel, Tina Landau, Kate Diaz and the entire cast and crew!

I just signed onto the @joindayenu.bsky.social clergy letter to @govkathyhochul.bsky.social to #releasetheregs for cap-trade-and-invest.

There's a clear moral imperative for all New Yorkers to have a safe & livable climate.

I urge other clergy to sign on before March 6: d.aye.nu/clergyletter

It was inspiring to gather on Monday with other @truahrabbis.bsky.social!

Together we learned torah, heard from some of our nation’s great minds, and grappled with what it means to lead in this harrowing time.

Yesterday morning, I stood with other NYC Rabbis and faith leaders at City Hall, calling on @GovKathyHochul and @NYCMayor to stop the deportations of our immigrant neighbors 🙌

At @joindayenu.bsky.social, we're concerned that new EPA Administrator Zeldin will pursue President Trump’s dangerous policies, accelerating the climate crisis.

For the sake of our planet, we urge Mr. Zeldin to lean on his Jewish values and pursue a just, livable future.

My heart is still so full from last week’s Rising Song Institute annual concert at B’nai Jeshurun ❤️
Hanukkah sameach, all! May we have more light and inspiration in the new year.
Thanks to Aly Halpert for the beautiful music.

It was poignant to be at the Hannukah party hosted by VP Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff last night -- and meaningful to be there with others fighting for a more just world.
I'm soaking up redemption and light for the months and years ahead.
