Today is #YomHaShoah, the #Jewish day set aside for remembrance of the Holocaust. 6 million Jews were murdered & 10s of 1000s of Jewish communities were destroyed between 1939 & 1945. Half the Jews of Europe; one third of the global Jewish population.

It’s very hard to feel a sense of joy as #Pesach approaches: The war between #Israel & #Hamas continues; the #Palestinians in #Gaza are in desperate straits, without aid, at the mercy of bombardment; hostages remain in captivity. My poem speaks to this devastating reality. #PeaceNow #Shalom #Salaam
