The first quarter for @LouisvilleFB has been okay, but to have two drives stall in UK territory and not get points out of them is disappointing but all in all a good start for the Cards. Need to step on the throat early and not give them hope today. Crush their spirits!

That's how you finish off a drive and make up for the drop! Love the fact that UofL makes sure to go right back to Brown after the drop and put that faith in him to finish the drive and get the touchdown! Big time pay off drive early! 7-0 Cards!

Cards get the win and great ready to head to the Bahamas on a 2 game winning streak! Reyne Smith, Javonne Hadley, and Khani Rooths were the top players today. Cards have plenty to figure out but they beat a good mid major team tonight.

Last media timeout and Cards still hold a double figure lead but still not as comfortable as you would like. Has been a game with very little flow and just bad offensive play all around. Reminds me of the old Big East days! 😄

The Cards are trying to take control of this game but some timely 3pt makes and a lot of whistles are keeping Winthrop close. Still looking for Edwards to get going but Hadley has been a man on the boards!

Cards inch another point ahead at the 2nd media timeout but still just not clicking offensively. This one has not been a pretty one but the Cards continue their strong defensive play which is why they have pushed it out to a double figure lead.

At the first media timeout of the 2nd half both teams are still in the feeling out stage. Card making inspired defensive plays but still not really on track offensively. Battle of attrition early.

The Cards take the 8 point lead into the half and began to find its offense behind Reyne Smith and Khani Rooths. Both guys played smart and aggressive and game the team a much needed boost. Terrence Edwards needs to figure some things out on that end. Just seems to hesitant.

Cards start to find some offensive rhythm with Rooths and Smith doing the heavy lifting. Need to see the Cards do a good job closing the half strong.

Very sloppy and ugly play on both ends. Cards brought the defense but left their offense back on campus. 9 turnovers are spoiling a nice defensive effort so far.

At the under 12 minute timeout things have gotten ragged. UofL's interior defense has shown up early with some impressive blocked shots. Not giving Winthrop anything easy in the paint.

Nice spirited start to the game tonight. Cards offense is looking a bit more aggressive than they have been. Chucky Hepburn is looking to attack north and south which is a MUST for this team.
