The lychee (Litchi chinensis) is a tropical tree in the soapberry family, Sapindaceae, which is native to South China, Malaysia, and northern Vietnam. It has also been introduced throughout Southeast Asia, South Asia and in parts of Southern Africa.

Many varieties of raspberries are found in the Himalayas.
The raspberry is the edible fruit of a multitude of plant species in the genus Rubus of the rose family, most of which are in the subgenus Idaeobatus. The name also applies to the plant itself. Raspberry plants are perennial with woody stems.

Autumn in Kinnaur is a fleeting jewel, arriving late in the year to paint the landscape in fiery hues. It arrives late in this region (in late October) and ends in early December.
