I think most people were only slightly aware of him, if at all. Most exposure could be from seeing his debates, which seemed well-intentioned. His manner seems mild. So most folks are likely unaware of his worst.

I think you're right about him being worn down and that is genuine... and we shouldn't stop!... although we also should be aware that his maximum 130 day term as an unpaid government "employee" was set to expire on May 30 anyway.
