Yeah, I could see that. I am still playing the original boxes, and am still discovering how to bend the game to what I want. I will say if you are just starting… begin with the 1 ⭐️nations.
I jumped in with Aurthurians and broke my brain. 🤪

I think it depends on your usual player count. Both are crunchy in their own ways… but Imperium is a really different approach to deck building games.
-Imperium if two players (Also really good at solo)
-Dune if more than two

Netrunner has been a bit of a new obsession for me. I have really been getting into the strategies and tactics when playing. Though this is a card game… it has the feel of a board game. #boardgames

I am a LoTR geek and Fellowship of the Ring Trick Taking Game has been a great experience. Each chapter has brought an interesting puzzle, and the art has been a delight to admire.

Brass Birmingham is ranked #1 on BGG, and I see the reason. It has some many interesting interaction points with the other players, and all the action happens on a common board. Such a great experience….

Mage Knight is a game that will always have a place in my collection. I do play it solo, but… I really enjoy it at two players.

A Feast for Odin is a game that really showed me the openness of the hobby. The number of options and the strategic paths really tickled the perfect spot of my brain.

I agree with you there. I think that what I like about this and Lisboa… finding ways to move forward in your strategies in alternative ways. Arcs is another example for me… though that one is more frustrating for some.

Yeah! Will say though, first play will be long. But all the interconnected systems are very interesting.

Played 6 times and only at 2 players.

A Feast for Odin is a 10/10 for me. Great game, good decisions, tactile pieces, and rewards good planning.
