#1 SATURATION 3

Imagine Sat 1 but somehow crazier more off the wall production and even tighter. This album is BH's pinnacle, addictive surprising and damn near perfect. This cemented Brockhampton's place in music history, for as short as their stay was.

Top tracks: Basically the whole thing.

#2 SATURATION I

The beginning of it all, an album that shook the hip hop world and took the internet by storm. A huge display of talent from every member across performance and production. A genre defining album and a piece of history.

Top tracks: HEAT, GOLD, STAR, CASH, BUMP

#3 iridescence

The chaos of an angry boyband dealing with loss and betrayal on multiple fronts. The band travelled to a new environment just for this album and it shows, a far more experimental side to the band. It's aged like fine wine.

Top tracks: DISTRICT, HONEY, J'OUVERT, VIVID, WEIGHT, TONYA

#4 SATURATION 2

Yes this is controversial as fuck, SAT2 was the middle child of the trilogy, still packing alot of the same heat, but lacked the same staying power of it's siblings.

This does switch it's placement every other week soooo.

Top tracks: QUEER, SWEET, SUMMER, JUNKY, SWAMP

#7 The Family

A final album, featuring just Kevin and a tiny splash of Bearface. This album was a peak behind the doors of what made Brockhampton work, and fail. Kevin's failures as a leader, and his love and hopes for the boys in the future.

Top tracks: Big Pussy, Good Time, Brockhampton

#8 GINGER

Now it gets good. Following up IRIDESCENCE was going to be tough. With a new aesthetic and sound we get a melancholic album mulling on the fallout of the band, with the occasional bop. And BH's big chart hit - SUGAR. (I have no comment)

Top tracks: BOY BYE, NO HALO, I BEEN BORN AGAIN

#9 ALL-AMERICAN TRASH

The band's debut (and forgotten) album. AAT is a fairly inconsistent album, swinging from ballady to somewhat cringy SoundCloud rap. However you do hear the teases of quality coming.

Top tracks: PALACE, MICHIGAN, INFATUATION

#10 - TM

Yeah there was no way this was getting anywhere above the bottom. A mishmash of offcuts from the band's history - not necessarily bad, but like a greatest hits album where you've never heard any of the songs before and 4/6 are just fine.

Top tracks: Man on the Moon, FMG, Keep it Southern

Short N' Sweet - Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina hit it out of the park with every single for this release. Maybe a little too well, leaving the remainder of the album lacking much impact and not having the same legs that previous singles had. Giving the album a, "meh?" Feeling by the end.

Atavista - Childish Gambino

I could rant about this one.

A redo for a final album is a huge disappointment for an artist as solid as this. Especially for an album that was already lacking. While here we can see the vision, that vision is cluttered and underwhelming.

Come on Gambino, be better

#23 GNX - Kendrick Lamar

After the beef I had little doubt we'd get something new, and something new we got.

A super heavy west coast album that shows Kendrick truly taking his role as a role model. Kendrick comes with something that reflects the WC and his heroes.

MUSTAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRDDDD

#22 Dark Times - Vince Staples

Literally what it says. A dark reflection on love, relationships, an advisor tale for those who follow after Staples. It's cold at times, but lyrically it's something to truly sink your teeth into and see deep into a present Staples mind.

#21 Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess - Chappel Roan

I'm so sorry I slept on this album.

This album has something for everyone. It's heartwarming, heart wrenching and laugh out loud at points. Unapologetic and beautiful - absolutely incredible.

A femininonmenon.

#20 CHROMAKOPIA - Tyler, The Creator

Following arguably one of the best 3 album runs in the last decade. Tyler continues to hit that mix of a recognisable sound with some fresh experimenting. Mulling the pains of adult and celebrity life, Tyler has made something special here.

#19 ORQUÍDEAS - Kali Uchis

I'm a huge Kali stan so this has to be here, but in her usual style and flame Uchis has released an album lavish in both instrumentation and vocals. If Red Moon is the warming morning sun, this is the clammy moonlit night that follows.
November 24, 2024 at 3:43 PM
#18 I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU - JPEGMAFIA

This album is a spectacular demonstration of what it means to just "know" how to make music work. This is a genre bending, career defining album from Peggy and this album will stand in time like something from DOOM's discography.
November 24, 2024 at 12:53 PM
#17 Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disc

Finally some good fucking food. Pop of late sits in an odd spot, there's experimenting here and there but nothing too crazy - MB hits that balance of pushing right out, but also staying in a nice little niche.

Bangers; Image, Death and Romance
November 24, 2024 at 12:52 PM
#16 New Woman - LISA & Rosalía

I already said it, but this single slaps. Already a heavy hitter, the track only elevates once Rosalía steps in and takes this track to the stratosphere. Both flex vocal flare and a little smidge of edge, can't wait for more.
November 24, 2024 at 12:49 PM
#15 Rockstar - LISA

Good lord, this song oozes personality that you rarely see in the Kpop industry. It's sharp, catchy and addictive. Not only that, but she followed through with New Woman?! Another banger???
November 24, 2024 at 12:46 PM
#14 Charm - Clairo

Oh boy, more sweet vocals with some gorgeous stripped instrumentals that just fit beautifully. Charm cements Clairo as one of the most solid pop artists of an era filled with femme artists killing it across the board.
November 24, 2024 at 12:44 PM
#13 Push Ups - Drake

Yes, Drake flopped with his later tracks. However, Push Ups was fun, braggy and set up Drake as an actual contender of the beef - even if it didn't stay that way for long.
