Just found a "behind the scenes" photo on my iPhone.

That little white dot in front of the lens is what you see in the original post. (I know it looks different, I changed perspective by getting rid of the macro sledge eventually.)
A "behind the scenes" shot showing how the macro photo of a mushroom was made that I posted a couple of days ago. Or, well, almost. Autumn-coloured leaves and some small sticks and branches on the forest floor, a rotting fallen branch (or young log) crossing the picture from mid-left to top-right, some wood flaked off from it. My black camera is the main point of interest at first, mounted in a cage on a macro sledge, display flipped out. In front of the lens is a tiny little white dot, roughly the real-life size of a pin's head, give or take a few micrometers. The purpose of the shot is to show how incredibly large a macro lens can blow up the tiniest specks of life, and how the macro plane is a world of all its own. We humans should pay more attention to the wealth of small details hiding around us, and treat every living thing with fascination and respect equally, no matter how large or small it may be.
