You can see it clear in this video. He's already at the extreme edge of the path. He moves more out of the path while drawing the gun. To me it's clear it was to intimidate and force them out. Fires once than moves out of the path and fires more.

He was never under threat.

The UN/ICC can only take action with the help of member countries. There's no country or group of countries that can impose any legal action against the US.

What you should be asking is, at what point does your opposition political party take action? Only the USA can fix these problems.

It's never lupus. But it's sometimes DNS.

Not sure AI is the same. In the mid 90s when the Internet was becoming a thing for consumers, there was almost zero corporate interest. It was a fad to them. It was around 2000 they suddenly got interested. You know the start of the .com bubble. AI has been jumped on too early en-masse in my opinion

Add a cron job that runs every 584942416 years to reboot. Likely in 584942415 years they will add SDL_GetTicks128() to solve this.

I spent time getting the windows TCP/IP stack in WfW to work on top of the DOS drivers (needed for Netware at the time). Why? So we could play Hearts over the network in the office of course!

I suspect they don't support 60fps at all. So the 60fps becomes just 30fps of one colour. 30fps is probably too slow to really see the effect.

Seems the rules on receivers on board are a bit mixed. I know previously they were disallowed, I assume because of the oscillators in single/double conversion repeaters.

I'd argue there's a lot more emissions from a laptop than from a radio receiver. An SDR also I think only has 1 oscillator. YMMV.

Well, a phone transmits as well as receives and can transmit considerably above the limit for low power data emissions allowed on a plane.

The thing is, a long long time ago it was cheaper to get your phone as part of your phone plan (at least here in the UK it was).

It was also true when smartphones first appeared. But, right now it is certainly not. It's actually cheaper I found to buy the phone direct, and it's already unlocked.

Make asbestos great again? What a weird time line we're living in.

You're putting a bit too much thought into this, it's sadly way easier to explain. Football hooligans, don't go to watch football. They attend a football game as an excuse for the violence that will ensue afterwards.

That's true. But then it wasn't written into law here, until it was. It requires a law change. I don't like laws that compel you in this way personally. But, it's how it works here, and laws could be changed elsewhere to allow it too.

Yes, for two reasons. First, they look very different (they're usually on higher gantries, and have multiple CCTV style cameras) whereas the normal cameras are lower and have a blockier larger camera. Second, the area is clearly marked as an "Average Speed Check zone"

In the UK the system is quite simple. They send the notice of intended prosecution to the registered keeper of the vehicle. The onus is on them to name the driver at the time if it wasn't them. Otherwise they will receive the penalty.

Coming from the UK where I so often see people braking for an average speed camera. I can tell you a lot of people do not know how they work here either.

Even in the 80s, my ZX Spectrum, hooked up to a 14" TV (which was big for a child's bedroom TV I suppose) was at eye level on my desk.

I used to play it on the school a3000. But the amiga version was also good.

I'm not so sure the distance is to scale. But if the size is, they'll definitely win in a game of conkers.

Fraud is a different matter. Most of the bots are all about spam and other non fraud shenanigans I'd say and they could knock out subdomains with almost zero effort.

Fraud, I'm pretty sure people doing that already know how to get domains anonymously and hide their tracks.

I don't know if registration with crypto is easy. But that's not really an issue. Bluesky isn't going to be able to force a registrar to give information about who registered a domain.

As to the latter point, you can register a domain and host it yourself. Scripting new records is trivial.

Yeah, but the worst is R Tape loading error after 9 minutes.
April 19, 2025 at 12:38 PM
I'm also dubious about how having "a" domain makes you more likely to be a real person. If having a domain is enough to get the checkmark, with one single domain you could knock out infinite subdomains to churn out fake accounts. And new domains are cheap if they blocked it eventually.
