Rockford Art Guild @ the Coliseum Museum is ongoing and available to view during the Museum's normal open hours (Wednesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm), despite the weather cancelled opening reception (new reception date and time to be announced).

This is a reimaging of a painting I created in 2007 ('Gecko Dreams'). The '07 piece was an emergence of overtert, bold surrealism in my work. Now, 18 years and 4 years of art school later, I feel like my original idea is finally complete and satisfying. This is also a complete departure from my normal complimentary color theme => to a triadic + [short] analogous theme.

Painting of Zeus abducting the kouros Ganymede composed similar to Gustav Klimt's 'The Kiss'. 2025 Oil & Mixed Media on Gallery Canvas 30"x36". I do my best to photograph my art, shooting with a grey card to color correct the digital image, as well as perspective correction, ratio scale, and crop- but as usual, you must see it in person for the full visual impact. The micas and metallics change and shimmer with each minute movement of the observer, as well as the appearance of looking into glazed oil layers revealing new rich colors; these effects that cannot be digitally recorded, nor digital-screen projected. In person, my paintings are breathtaking.
