I'm all for tougher guns laws. There's no way someone on the ASIO watchlist should have had access to firearms. However, it's not going to stop terrorism. They'll resort to explosives or some other means. More should be done

I think the gun issue is one component. I also think that we have been too soft on those that preach hate and have been threatening the Jewish population here for many months. This has been an escalating issue. The two we saw commit this massacre are not the only people with bad intentions.

Why was someone known to ASIO allowed to have guns in their possession? If you come to be "known" by ASIO that should be enough to have licenses revoked. I think as Aussies we just automatically think we have tough guns laws. Apparently not tough enough
