Naive cropping using fuzzy color selection is unlikely to work reliably for my set of input images. Just to give you an idea, here's a render of a 3x3 km tile of my home city of Münster:

Question on #rayshader #rstats: I want to combine several images created with rayshader::render_highquality. I have complex images that will end up in print. This will only look good if I can get rid of each image's background. How to do that despite Monte Carlo noise?

Found the tree version! This was before the release of your tree3d package. Unfortunately, I wasn't proficient enough to distinguish conifers from broad-leafed trees in the LIDAR data (not sure if it's good enough for that), so the assignment is random. Still looked kind of cool, I thought.

Some WIP shots from January 2023. I had a version with trees and stuff, but don't have a screenshot available. I used OSM data for streets, governmental data for buildings (CityGML format, an absolute nightmare to convert), LIDAR data for the trees (buildings and trees are NOT distinguished).
