England HAVE to make changes to the batting line-up. Too many players 33+ in the top 6 or 7 playing the same way they always have but with diminishing results.
Can understand why we stuck with them at the last world cup but this is a new cycle and a perfect opportunity for newer faces.

institutional incompetence going back decades, nothing was ever going to change with Al in charge but I remember some people thinking his son might be different - he isn't, and he doesn't even have Al's charm or balls

i can sort of cope with it in T20, unless it's Danny Morrison or Pommie Mbangwa who treat every incident as the most unbelievable thing they've ever seen, but, generally speaking, the best commentators value understatement and silence

It's a very interesting read. Especially the aspects of where pressure relatively sits with baseball and test cricket. In baseball the pressure is on the pitcher, in cricket it's on the batter.
