99% of the time people just do it on a very public platform though and it’s just like…you aren’t shouting into the ether, you’re screaming at what’s essentially a digital public park and then getting mad that you aren’t being ignored or solely pat on the back for it with no dissent.

It’s not all venting, just the specific exaggerated unhinged kind. Like, if you don’t want people to have their own opinions and emotional reactions to your emotional reaction then maybe just…don’t vent online of all places? Or vent somewhere dedicated to it?

I especially don’t get it because saying it publicly online tends to lead to arguments (obviously), but then people get mad when people respond to their public edginess
I can’t really understand what people expect to happen when they say insane things during an emotional rant in a public space.
