One of the serious issues resulting from the East Wing demolition, was a concern that asbestos mitigation was NOT carried out, no permits pulled, contractors not certifed; asbestos was common when the WH was last renovated, and as such there's every chance that that soil is contaminated.

Which translated means that said officials, if guilty, should be impeached, which is merely the formal action of bringing charges, done by the House of Representatives.
To be removed from office, after impeachment, they must be tried and convicted in the Senate, with the Chief Justice presiding. 🥸
