“I love you, Louis. You are loved.”

It’s a classic declaration of love, “I love you”, everybody says it to one another. It is emotional, intimate, and by no means meaningless. To declare the love we feel is a sign of trust, a sign of vulnerability; for love could be used against us. To admit our feelings, we have to let ourselves be open and vulnerable. So to love someone is to let ourselves be their prey; a sacrifice.

[Sacrifice /ˈsakrɪfʌɪs/ is the offering of material possessions or the lives of animals or humans to a deity as an act of propitiation or worship.]

But to love, by itself, is selfish. As much as we bare ourselves open, it may not mean anything to the other. Love is an emotion that one can feel, but cannot transfer. We may feel an overwhelming amount of love, we could rip our chest open and take out our heart for it. But in the end, it would still be an act of selfishness. Greedy to be loved back, wanting what we are in no place to ask. Sometimes we forget that the one we love is in no duty to love us back.

So to say “you are loved”, underlining the fact that they are loved rather than our own selfish emotion of love, is very beautiful.

“I love you, Louis. You are loved.”

To emphasize that they are worthy of being loved, that they are cared for; not that we bear the weight of loving them.

The fact that they are loved.

i lied. i opened instagram but guys look i read p4perback's insta story and i almost cried i love him so much sobs (he's a streamer and a cosplayer btw!)

someone criticizing him for yapping so much about charity and helping people, accusing him for having hero complex

him explaining how ridiculous that thought process is that he has always been grateful for the things that he has, the education that he got. that's why he wants to help people. he has always wanted to help people rather than being famous and rich. once as a kid he got very upset because not every kid know The Very Hungry Caterpillar. he didnt understand that education is important as a 4 year-old but he wanted everyone to have the luxuries that he had. before that he said something too and i quote, "im lucky enough to have the influence to make that impact on a greater scale so im gonna fucking use it. if anything, it would be selfish of me to not use the tools i have today to help."
