Little things like finding my 3ds and the game glitching out and continuing my save from 2011.

The tier3 bubbline/bubblegun is my favorite weapon in gaming, and jamming along to On to Grassland is my happy place.
A kind of grimy 3dsXL running Cave Stoey. There's a save from 2013, 2016, but the one selected is 2011. Yes, the joystick nubbin has been replaced by a button, the old one fell off long ago, but the d-pad is easier on my joints anyway.

A wicker lamp. My tooth cracked four years ago during a really bad episode. Today it split more, and now its pinching the sharp edge along the gums of the other tooth. Getting stressed makes the muscles tense like rubber bands, and make the pain worse. Got really dizzy at supermarket today, had to ask for cart and help. Happens every couple years. Passing card and receipt back after resting, my mouth was in so much sharp pain i couldnt talk. Smell and clutter were too aggrivating. I had to mutter to ask for tv and videos to be turned off (makes a time bomb) got told i should get it looked at. Say i need help, have no idea where to go. Get read an ai summary out loud. Stress mkes it so mich worse, almost pass out.

Good: Whiteboard Outline method still works and now I have a hierarchical checklist to go through. That goblin found a reference book.

Not good: my teapot was on a hotplate and when I stopped to look for that lost trinket both fell/spilled on my leg and I think I'm done trying for the day.
whiteboard filled with color-coded scribbly notes of an essay outline turned into a checklist. I've only censored one part, the good part, but the secret is my handwriting has always been so horrible I'm usually the only one to read it, and I encode my topics with passphrases that may only make sense to me to remember a topic, and let's be honest if I'm not too careful this writing may become *so* encoded or illegible I can't read it. Don't worry about not being able to see it all, if this were enough to get my point across I wouldn't make the whole gd video essay. Also there's a JoCat gobbo vinyl, a teacup, and a copy of Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics spread around some of the emptier areas.

Almost a month ago exactly, I had to threaten to put my cats up for adoption if they couldn't be given safety. What this resulted in is people asking me if the cats go in or our or get fed, so that I'm the one responsible. Had to go for a walk to cool off, got about 10 calls in an hour and 20 texts with play by play updates as I had another 'this isnt normal' walk. I ate a couple slices of cold pizza all day before 'hey its dark do you think we should get the cats inside?' I got back, walked over to the cat's usual spot, he was trapped just outside of range and apparently the faint signal meant to the rocket scientist he was clearly just moving around in a perfect radius. Picked him up, got myself inside, got rocked scientist inside, old cat scared cat in my arms. Cat in my arms uses my jaw as a springboard to run away. Babychair grandma starts screaming at me, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU GIRL, because apparently out of her blind right eye she had operated on and without her glasses she saw me throw the cat against the table, and then started swearing up and down that it's what happened. Through a box and giant water container, btw. Still bleeding, I'm fine. Except I'm not fine, because almost four years ago to the day, a tooth chipped, and I was in a horrible state and got taunted into violence again, and unless I immediately do whatever she wants I'm always having being police-evicted held over my head. Yesterday that tooth chipped enough to expose the rotten core, and now I can't eat or drink or talk or breathe without my entire jaw being in pain. Right where I got kicked, and then yelled at for no reason. So, yeah, if you got this far, the reason I took the modding job was because it gave me an excuse to set boundaries for whatever this place is, and then those boundaries were constantly pushed anyway, and I'm being held here nine of swords style because there's animals here and I can be evicted at any time. I want to be this fucking frog.

I put that first post on the art one, but it's.... too much a capsule of its time to migrate. But sometimes the best place to hide something is in plain sight, and no one expects to read the alt text. I broke that last day, the third or so. My overwork caused my delay, and my delay caused someone very... caring and thoughtless to allow a vague, dangerous situation to occur to something I've lived a year for. The other draft of that musing went towards writing a resignation letter I'm glad I waited to never send. (If I had a nickel for every time a certain someone said something unrelatedly kind and honest as I debated whether I'd accept a fugue state and keep walking, I'd hae two nickels, which is two nickels more than I'd ever want, but it's the common sense I needed.) This isn't a ditch, it's a quiet little spot that reminds me of the place I go to when I close my eyes. (I'm afraid to visit those places, and overwrite their previous versions with divergent reality.) Yes, I grieve for homes I can never see again. But there'a a lot of other nice places to be for a day when you stop looking for them. .... anyways. I feel colors coming back, colors I had feared. But even ultraviolet and infrared look identical. Maybe someone can tell I'm more... poetic than usual. Or maybe this is who I was under all the muddy chains. I have an infection of infatuation right now. The only way I know how to get rid of it is to sweat it out. I can't weed it- that just makes it grow deeper, hardier. It's been a dandelion that got in through my cracks. And... I like dandelions. So instead, I'm just listening to songbirds in a culvert, and enjoying their stories, and not in any way dreaming of caging them. I need to be the sun to melt the jackets, set up windchimes, and enjoy the moment before it fades. Very postmodern.

almost-bingo of some of the games announced during the swithc 2 streams the former bingo card, but everything's replace by one big box saying actual silksong during stream lag i had to read chat, because that's when the audio and video desycnhed, and everything was three second previews with a text box in the title and not being read out loud.

After yesterday's storms, the #spring winds are here! I still remember how to open ramune, (took only 1 hint) and i'm enjoying the breeze by taking off my glasses, watching the leaves ripple, and trying to pick my favorite green.

On to the next episode, and I may stop journalling here. But I'm serious-- this is a lot of detail to put in a single frame for a few seconds while the dialogue is rattling on. Sometimes I frame wonk as a story outgrowing its resources, but this is an anime with english text, its meant to be read.

Seriously-- the top paragraph is vitals and a brief summary of the events, and the latter is a whole bunch of what looks to be legitimate data. The top part isn't really *meant* to be read, but it can be, in that these events were shown in the start of the show, and just detail the dotted line between a and b. and I really doubt most would recognize the labwork below, let alone be able to interpret or digest it. BUT the fact that it's there, and readable even as audio goes on, or subtitles hover over it, helps to bring up the concept of veracity and authority in research. The key to the whodunnit mystery genre as a whole is in what order the clues are given out, and the irony in the difference of information from the characters and readers. If you know how to pick up when things are hilighted, like how a T Rex skeleton gets highligted early in an episode, and offhand remarks, and a line of inquiry about tropical fish, you can juuuust about race ahead of the character in the explaining phase, or get pulled along if you're not caught up.
