I don't follow random people just because they follow me, so don't expect a follow back.

He/Him
Because libs, generally, are closer to being fascists. The purpose of a liberal is to make concessions and excuses for the system, to act as a roadblock to change and progress by giving minor wins through easily rolled back incremental change.

What's your favorite flavor of boot leather?

His point is that fascism is good, actually.

What a fuckin clown.

No, of course not. But building a mutual aid network doesn't happen overnight. It's created with a series of acts that you simply label "charity" and then pretend isn't mutual aid.

Maybe you should spend less time stanning will stancil's horseshit, and more time actually learning about it.
December 29, 2025 at 9:40 PM
Right, but because it's ONGOING, it IS mutual, it's just on a much larger scale than two people, so it's unlikely to be as simple as you help me, and I help you. It's more likely to be a chain of people helping each other.

Do you think this is her first event helping her community?

Or in other words...

Mutually aiding each other, just not in your VERY narrow definition where there has to be an equal exchange IMMEDIATELY.
December 29, 2025 at 8:05 PM
The Mutual aid organizational model is about communities reallocating resources (i.e. tampons) to those who need them, separate from organizations run by the rich and powerful.

Why is it called mutual aid? Because the idea is that the community helps each other out in different ways.
December 29, 2025 at 8:05 PM
Mutual aid is more than two people exchanging equal services. And in the mutual aid we're talking about that Kat is doing, that you don't understand, is mutual aid because it's a COMMUNITY coming together to help each other. It doesn't need to have people equalling helping each other 1:1.
December 29, 2025 at 8:05 PM
Yes, but you clearly don't know what people are referring to when they say "mutual aid".

Like I said, you clearly don't understand mutual aid, and it shows. Please go read ANYTHING on what it actually is, instead of simply assuming that knowing the definitions of two words is enough.
December 29, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Ahhhh someone who doesn't know what "mutual aid" means!

You should actually look up what the "mutual aid organization model" refers to before making assumptions.
December 29, 2025 at 6:17 PM
Because it all stays within th community. There is no outside rich force keeping people dependant on their generosity.

Charity = reinforcing class structure
Mutual aid = community building itself up.

In a nutshell.

It's certainly indicative of why he lost his election.

But it does raise the question of who the fuck is he to give anyone campaign advice?
December 29, 2025 at 4:56 PM
Woah woah, I didn't say I think it'd improve the situation. Just that I'm hard pressed to fault someone for getting pissed or being rude when a person with as much privilege as Will tells people stuff like mutual aid is bad.

Especially when Will says "I want to represent you" by running for office.
December 27, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Spreading stupid and dangerous ideas is capable of harm. Will frequently posts half truths, or thoughts with no justification.

Kat is busy crushing it, but here is Mr. Stancil, telling her she's doing it wrong.

Or telling people that relying on rich people is good.

He just spreads bad advice.
December 27, 2025 at 11:43 PM
Again, it's not intended to replace. It's intended to supplement what little we have, because we can't have perfect RIGHT NOW. But that doesn't mean we have to settle for nothing either. Something is better than nothing, right?

And it seems to be working for Kat!
December 27, 2025 at 11:41 PM
LOL that's a lot of hyperbole. I don't think Will is in any danger because people call him mean names on the internet.
December 27, 2025 at 11:28 PM
Now, as for appearance/etc I generally I agree. I prefer insults to be less gendered/ more gender neutral too! Insult Will based on the quality/content of his opinion rather anything else, which seems to be what most people are doing.
December 27, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Calling people names it, generally, not harassment for a public figure. They have to keep their communications open with the public/be reachable by the public. It's why they're not usually allowed to block users on gov accounts iirc.
December 27, 2025 at 11:26 PM
And they would be incorrect. Which is why it's important to learn what words mean.

Do you think a court would give two shits if you misunderstood a word in a contract you signed?
December 27, 2025 at 11:22 PM
This man wanted to gain power, so I think he is justified in hearing what others think of him, like it or not.

That said, you and I may have a different opinion on harassment in relation to public figures. Calling people names on Bsky is (generally) not harassment vs say, stalking would be.
December 27, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Buddy, he's arguing we should rely on the rich for handouts. It's hard not to see him as anything other than, forgive my language, a bootlicker. He's take a very neoliberal approach of "just feast off the scraps of the rich" in a timeline where we've been doing that for decades.
December 27, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Who says she isn't following the laws? Do you think Will knows Kat's campaign better than her team does?
December 27, 2025 at 11:04 PM
...mutual aid is not intended to to replace proper POTENTIAL solutions with far more money behind them. It's there as a way for the communities to help themselves however they can, because that's just the reality we face.
