I can definitely see that! I watched panels where the actors praised the fandom but it was only by being in the fandom that I actually understood what they meant.

My guess is Wynonna remembers her sister as a child, which makes it harder to recognize her as an adult especially if she dyed her hair. In another episode they joked about their hair color having changed. Also, in Vengeance, Wynonna says her childhood memories are a little foggy because of trauma.
