Overall I'm happy with the final render and I intend on using what I've learned to create another, more effective animation!

The toughest part to animate was the magazine check because of the method I used to connect the pistol rig to the arm rig. I parented the pistol rig to an Empty and constrained the Empty's location to a control on the right hand.
