I sympathize with this view, but I also think part of the recent far- right success comes down to their willingness to invade spaces and be a nuisance until catered to. For that reason, I think a bunch of Bluesky leftists should make truth social accounts and go on a trolling spree

2. Trump "succeeds" because he doesn't build anything. His supporters won't shift if ICE arrests 10 or 10000 people. His power comes from the fact that he doesn't need to deliver anything to maintain support. That isn't something dems can or should emulate

Good points. 2 additions:
1. I hope dems learn the lesson that incrementalism doesn't work. You can't move policy one inch at a time when others yank it in different directions. This is a valid lesson from Trump. Go for the policies you think are best rather than bargaining against yourself

Then they are willing to accept more suffering in exchange for making other people (generally people of color, women, the less fortunate) suffer even more. Which makes them evil instead of misguided. The theories of politics are the generous version
