An Update on Brio 0.6.0, and offline MCDF Support First, I would like to officially and clearly confirm that I am working to add offline MCDF support to Brio. This work is superseding all other Brio work at the moment. For clearly Mare, the plugin has been added to the banned list for Dalamud as a plugin, this means as of now you will be unable to use MCDFs in Brio as the Mare plugin will no longer load in Dalamud. So, until Brio adds offline MCDF support, MCDF loading will not work. I have also seen a lot of teams wish to start their own version of Mare, And however those may end up, my intent and purpose here is to provide a common interface for other devs/tools to be empowered to utilize the MCDF system if they so wish in order to give the player base one unified system. The original plan for 0.6.0 was to release next week. However, I have had a very difficult week this week; with one of my wonderful cats passing away on Monday and the events surrounding Mare, I don't know when 0.6.0 will come out. So it's going to be a "it's done when it's done", It will still be soon, and it will have offline MCDF support. I ask for your patience and understanding in waiting for the update, that you please be kind and supportive of one another as well as us on the development end in this trying time. Just gonna share the most recent announcement in M101
In regards to Mare being (willingly) taken down I would like to kindly ask that we do as the announcement says and refrain from speculating about the reasons, specially in public servers or social media. Moreover, please remember fandoms are prone to incite drama for fun. **Be wary and skeptical of any "official" screenshots you might see.** I have already seen at least two and it hasn't even been three hours since the announcement. Also, I know it might be hard, but try not to panic. Whatever the case might be, many developers play this game and newer options and solutions might come up soon enough. Try to take it easy and be careful not to spread misinformation or cause others stress.

When you have spent so many years trying to improve your social skills, —and what's more, even got to experience very rewarding interactions and moments because of the fruit of that labor— clear and healthy communication processes feel not only necessary, but even addictive to a degree. If we could get away with it some of us would probably end every single conversation with "Thank you for this social interaction with me. Here's a QR code for a survey to rate how well I did. Please take five minutes to answer it and provide explicit feedback so that we can continue to make your experience enjoyable." Ha ha, will say the average person, thinking it a funny gag while so many neurodivergent people have thought of similarly "simple and sensible" —at least to us— "solutions" like this before. It's been a while since I reached the point of self-awareness that allows me to understand this kind of ridiculous over-controlling thoughts as... well, ridiculous and over-controlling. But that doesn't quite help me stop them, or to stop wanting to have those kind of "solutions" available in contexts where it would be nearly deranged to ask for such things. Tell me no. Tell me why not. I will do my best to understand. I will try my damn best to come to terms with it. But more importantly, I will leave you alone, and I will allow myself to finally end this problem-solving quest, and start grieving the things I thought we were, instead of these unfinished conversations I'm replaying in my head, and those cheap dopamine fixes that are no longer there. It might be hard, it might hurt, but it is a pain much more bearable than any lingering, (unresolved expectation, or the irrational belief that one more explanation will finally fix it all. I am aware that chaos and uncertainty are just part of life, but the kind of additional chaos and uncertainty neurodivergent people experience while navigating a society that does not keep our experiences in mind —but still punishes us every time that we fail to adjust to it— is endlessly traumatizing. I want to be ok. I want to think less and let go more. Though I don't know that I can really let go of anything willingly. Not until I am told to do so. Not until I'm made to feel ashamed of my stubborness. Not until a long and incredibly visceral process has torn my insides apart and every part of my brain that is in charge of empathy or rationalization has become too numb to keep trying. But in the meantime, I keep trying.

Btw would like to clarify my posts were very much from a place of curiosity and not calling people out or expecting people to "stop using" the word. But now you have a bit of perspective from me i guess. Feel free to do with that info what you will.

A reply to someone I was talking to about this topic on bluesky. "Might be more aligned with how I personally perceive the word since many of us in Mexico associate it with great violence in a way that I'm not sure is felt or perceived when used by english speakers. I went to the anti-pride parade march that was essentially a pro-pasteline march but also just general hating on capitalism and lgbtqiaphobic hate crimes while our goverment pretends to be progressive
