i found out that working on a fic doesn't always means just writing it. working on a fic can be revisiting the source material for information, or taking notes about where you want to go with it, etc

Likewise, you don't HAVE to interpret something in a way that upsets or offends you if you don't want to. Art as a concept is allowed to be interpreted. It's not like the blueprints to a bridge, where if you interpret it differently the bridge collapses and people die. That's why art is cool.
