Unfortunately American auto makers haven’t been able to make a good car in 6 decades.

I like the sentiment but American cars are awful.

What makes you think they’ll buy a gas car? Just about every auto manufacturer today makes an EV, and most of them are better quality than Teslas. If anything, it could bring awareness to other options.

Ethiopian or Kenyan coffees are very delicious and likely won’t be seeing price increases. It would be awesome to see them in the store :)

There are many great coffee varieties outside of Colombia that I don’t think would see a price hike. Brazilian coffee is pretty similar, and Kenya/Ethiopia produce great coffee too.

I think it’s primarily due to the Empires strong focus on tradition. The books cover this in detail.
The whole society wants to prevent progression so they use tradition in clothes, religion, etc. to keep society stagnant.

To comment on the fashion part, the books say that fashion didn’t change much (at least in formal attire). The Atreides guard uniform was stated to have gone the full 10,000 years with just one change once they took control of Dune.

It’s apt but still just insane

A big reason for many is the sound. Cats really don’t really make an engine quieter but they make it sound a lot different in a way most people with these classics don’t like.
