Mike and Clovis have both been put in maid outfits, and while Clovis doesn't seem to be handling the short skirt very gracefully Mike is fine with it; he knows this could be worse, they're both even still male.

So time to own up to my L's

I managed to damage my @accurascale.com P Class bluebell. I think I got isopropyl alcohol on my fingers from throwing away some paper towel with it on them, then picked up the loco putting it away. Got awful fingerprint smudges right in the middle of it.

Latest arrivals from @accurascale.com . Turns up while I was in the middle of ballasting the second track.

So I have done something very clever, the sort of smarts only a PhD could think of.

I put my new train on my layout, when my only controller is downstairs powering the loop around the Christmas tree.

Given I don't want to dismantle that I guess this is a static display for another week.

I have unfortunately become the type of model railroader I used to mock: the one with a steadily growing collection of engines and no layout big enough to run them.

I'm going to have to make a loop layout next year.

This is the Metcalfe signal box. It went together really easily all considered, and it's detailed enough that it passes under anything but a close inspection, just the right balance of detail to price.
