I’m as civilian as they come (and much thanks for all service so please excuse me if I’m incorrect), and I’m not exactly sure but am I correct in saying

HOORAH?

Because just because you stop teaching something doesn’t unhappen it. History is permanent, those who try to erase it are not.

The only surprising part of this is the delete.

Massive pressure from Daddy’s advisors? YUP.

“American Golden Age”? I just rolled my good seeing eyes so hard they popped out, rolled out the door and jumped in the river down the road. I’m only surprised it took them six days.
This threatening tweet was deleted by Trump’s dumbest son 20 minutes after he posted it.

You don’t get to take my coffee if you can’t spell where it comes from.

And no, it’s not covfefe. COFFEE. From COLOMBIA.

The American Embarrassment just got more embarrassing, if that were possible.
If you can't fucking spell the name of the country on the first try the tariffs are void forever. We don't make the rules.

It sounds great, but…

Don’t forget the Holocaust.

But don’t also exist fully in it now. Do what you can to keep yourself and yours safe and healthy. Ready to resist in all the ways.

Because we don’t know how we’ll need to, and we can’t do it if we’re exhausted from imagining all the ways.
We are all prone to looking at the past & feeling sad or thinking of how the future may play out.

Mediation & mindfulness reminds us that the only moment that matters is the present moment so live in it.

It’s very hard to do & but I urge you to try it out.

Grateful for you all 💙 Goodnight

Yes, we should add the bishop for sure. And hopefully @laurazeta.bsky.social and @redall.bsky.social and if I’m lucky enough, me too. This is a list I want to be on.

Nobody got anywhere by being complacent. Rights weren’t gained by politely asking. And they weren’t taken back by waiting patiently.
These women didn’t sit down, stay quiet, or ask for permission—they broke the rules and changed the world. Role models.

We should add Bishop Mariann Budde to the list.

So, to be clear here, I’m not surprised that he did this.

I’m surprised that the Washington Post is reporting news that he fired people and that it wasn’t like, a mass walkout, or an awkward situation, or maybe they were all neurodivergent, or he gave them his heart and they rejected it…

Everyone say it with me:

Your church money can pay for your church school.

If your church isn’t taxed, it shouldn’t receive tax money for funding.

No federal funding for religious schools. This is a hard stop.

The homeland just became significantly less secure.

Everyone, it’s now past time to secure your own homeland. *Safely*, and with your neighbors and community, but don’t expect your government to help.

Existence IS Resistance.

Remember that this fight is not new. There have ALWAYS been people who don't recognize more than two genders and yet here we are.

Your existence is an act of resistance all on its own.

And he was rejected by the Senate for the most part. Even Mitch McConnell voted no.

Vance had to break the tie.

When I’m in the same side as
Mitch McConnell, it’s time to really assess what’s up and push harder on your Congresspeople. It’s working. It will work. Keep pushing.
Pete Hegseth is the most unqualified nominee for Secretary of Defense in modern history.

He should be rejected by the Senate.

Mississippi needs to learn from Michigan or secede. This is disgraceful. Human rights are not up for debate. Turning citizens into bounty hunters is a really bad idea.

Pretty sure there’s some folx who’d like to see a bounty for hunting Desoto Cty DA and the state rep who authored this crap.
Mississippi's new HB 1848 proposes a $1,000 "bounty hunter" reward for turning in undocumented immigrants.

This state-sanctioned targeting fuels fear, endangers lives, and tears families apart.

It is inhumane and un-American to incentivize hunting vulnerable people.

Oh no, I never expected this, they were all so peaceful and beautiful and meant no harm to anyone except the people they killed. And Mike Pence. And anyone else who wanted to stand in the way of their coup.

I definitely didn’t expect these nonviolent protesters to be re-arrested, it can’t be…

The day has come when Rolling Stone and the Hollywood Reporter are the trusted media sources.

Trust the libraries. They can’t rewrite books that librarians are literally hiding and hording because they know that history is actively being rewritten right now. And find good livestreams.
If you want further proof that American journalism is dead, the Hollywood Reporter showed more moral clarity in their coverage of Elon Musk’s Nazi salute than the Washington Post, NY Times, LA Times, WSJ, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS or NBC. Cowards all.

Oh bummer. We were busy in another room, doing our annual learning about MLK, ways we can help contribute to being better allies for all, and flag etiquette. How long a flag stays at half mast when a president dies, and if that should change if that person is a convicted felon who committed treason.

I think Ken Jennings is broken.

I’m definitely not sure what to do, but I hadn’t considered eating cigarettes yet.

Is that really where we are? I understand getting them duty free to smoke, but….for nutrition?

Are the books gone? Because I feel like the books would have more value in this case.
Everyone’s worried about the tariffs but I’m just going to start buying everything at airport duty-free stores. I’ll be eating the finest Toblerone and cigarettes for the next four years, suckers!

Y’all, this is not ok. This is a HUGE PROBLEM.

And I’m SCREAMING this as I’m in year two of trying to get diagnosed with multiple complex interconnected disorders so this is a bit terrifying so that poem, where they come for the people?

This is how they start to come for the disabled people.
NIH appears to have canceled/postponed all of its study sections—the independent review panels that approve federal grants for health research.

Such grants fund the work/salaries of 300k people at more than 2,500 institutions
All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.
