Also I've been seeing more scams leverage browser notifications that look like desktop notifications to the unaware. Disabling browser notifications nips this in the bud. Also, could be tricky for some to manage, but DNS filtering (eg a PiHole) can also block scam websites to help protect people too

A couple notes on this for anyone who might see it... A popular scambaiter, @kitboga.bsky.social worked with a team to make free software to install on vulnerable people's computers called Seraph Secure, and it warns/blocks users from common scam practices (like installing remote access tools) and

I'm just your normal follower and we've discussed a few things on IG messages, from human rights to pew pews, but am slowly trying to pick up adoption of this platform. Was never a fan of Shitter though, so we'll see how well I do. 😅
