Walking foot! I have a Juki machine with "smart feed" (built in walking foot) and I found that if I adjusted the speed of the top feed, I could get pretty consistent stitches (in length). The Cuddle does drag a bit, but not bad. Basting spray is a winner, too. No more pins dragging along!

I've done that on my Juki TL. Stitched right through the flat head pins and only realized after I saw the holes in the pin.😬

Awww, thank you. Scrap is my jam. I finally sewed this top up and put in the TBQ (To Be Quilted) pile.
