It’s that easy.” For the fifth time in as many days, Law grits his teeth. Arguably, Roronoa’s reputation is worse than his own, hailed as a demon from the East Blue. Tone dripping with disdain, Law snaps. “I don’t want your captain to fuck me,” he says, using air quotes to highlight the issue with the phrasing. Zoro snorts, his lone eye rolling. “Course not. You want him to cuff you by the neck, bend you in half and boss you around.” Law hisses, dragging a hand down his face. “How on earth did you come to that conclusion?” Silently, Zoro gives Law a once-over. In the interest of retaining the sanity he has left, Law glares at him, nonverbally ordering Zoro to shut up.

been chipping away at a knight luffy & royal law fic except i can't get the ambiance right at all...something something devotion and loyalty through thick and thin, blood in the water, etc. [⚠️ wip]
Law’s demeanor has always been standoffish, lukewarm at best and brusque at worst, but he’s particularly stoic in the fields, allowing the wind to tousle his hair in silence. Following minutes of contemplation, he turns around, unsurprised to see Luffy chasing butterflies with his eyes, distracted. “It’s a fine country that we live in, no?” He has spent the greater part of his life protecting the peace, fortifying the borders and instilling fear in those who thought his father a weak ruler. There’s only so much Raffael can do, however, with a sickly wife and a daughter uninterested in politics. “Yeah. The food here is amazing,” Luffy says, grin bright, hands on his hips. Amber eyes roll fondly, amusement winning out over annoyance. Slowly, Law turns around, issuing a hypothetical. “What if the fields no longer produced enough wheat to sustain the population? What if the borderlands sought to burn us to the ground, starting with our exports?” Luffy’s expression becomes frigid. Downright menacing. Exposure gives Law the wherewithal to tamp down a shiver, but he understands why men flee in the face of Luffy’s rage, sensing something carnal in him, uninterested in trying their luck. “I would destroy them.”

HELLO I LOVE YOUR KRUSIE FICS SO MUCH your writing style just tickles my brain in ways i cannot put into words i am also a glutton for angst and would love to see your take on a pure one-sided romantic kris -> susie fic in their adult days, drawing on kris as a character who has so many deep-seated insecurities as someone who is dearly loved, but cannot see themself as a positive in others' lives because they feel so othered. maybe it all comes to a head when susie and noelle announce their marriage and kris is given the chance to travel overseas for their music. perhaps they try to expunge the heartache with a heavy drink and their hands, only to realize that this too is a cross they'll have to bear. something bittersweet like dark chocolate, a little messy, a little unresolved as these things often are. i'm so sorry i never got around to filling this one! i'm in a bit of a slow writing period right now and currently drooling over trafalgar law from one piece again because i will never improve 😂 i LOVE love this prompt, but i would definitely spin it to be more angst-with-a-happy-ending because alas, i am a sucker for happy endings. i think this is soooo so good though...ughhghgh kris's painful yearning and frustrations, choking on their own words trying to get it out, wanting susie to be happy...gahhh. might come back and revisit someday if my deltarune/krusie energy returns! thank you so much for the request in any case! ♡

had a question on strawpage that i wanted to answer in long-format so i'm sticking it here! How is it to write for people? Like when doing a fic request f.e. And where/how could I start myself? Thanks, sending lots of hugs! my advice on the best place to start with this is "building your audience." no matter what your focus is (drabbles, threadfics, etc.) you need to get your name out there. i highly recommend participating in any kind of fandom enclave you can find (exchanges, event/ship weeks, discord servers, etc.) where you'll meet a lot of people who are into what you're into quickly! if you treat people to gifts in these environments, you will likely be getting to know people who know their way around those fandoms. :3 a few pointers: → use tags when you post your content (e.g. new fic for #abc #examplefandom) → post your requests and guidelines publicly → feel free to use bingo boards & prompt-lists that are pre-made for your audience to pick from a list → be open to new ideas and respectful with your replies even when the prompt is not your cup of tea ♡ sometimes, you can find prompt lists by googling your fandom's kink meme — you can look for open source prompts floating around on ao3 in collections where publicly accessible prompts are provided. {example} from my most recent exchange. as for my personal feelings on the matter: i think prompt fics are super fun! i'm a very head empty kind of writer in that i can come up with the plot for stuff really easily, but i have a lot of trouble brainstorming baseline ideas for things, hahaha. when people provide prompts for me, i have a lot more freedom to sink into the what-ifs for those ideas and run wild. it's not for everyone, but the best way to find out whether you like prompt-filling or not is to give it a go! gathering an audience and gaining momentum will take time, but don't be discouraged by the buildup at the beginning. :3 oftentimes, you will gain your most loyal following when your account is still small and people feel closer to you! good luck and i hope this helps! 🥰
