Yesterday, ICE violently entered Rayito de Sol preschool with kids inside. They then arrested a teacher without a warrant. 

This was domestic terrorism. DHS needs to free this teacher, apologize to the community, and leave Chicago IMMEDIATELY.

But this is the world we’re living in. That’s why I’m demanding the DHS office of the Inspector General launch an investigation into ICE’s misconduct in Chicago.

What we witnessed were parents, children, seniors, and people with special needs lining up before 7, just to feed their families. Without #SNAP, people are going to starve.

I recently visited the Bright Star Church community shelter. They serve over 200 Chicagoans, but they’ve struggled this month as ICE targets their residents and volunteers.

Trump’s reign of terror has to end so shelters like Bright Star’s can continue to help our community.

Yesterday I volunteered with Greeley Elementary’s walking school bus — where school faculty and staff walk kids to school to protect them and their parents from ICE.
