Very true. China has realised that sooner or later the world has to go green. It’s like the space race for renewables, except one side, namely the Americans, have not (at least as policy) realised they are in the race, and that the race is worth running!

Alternatively we need degrowth to take off. But that is a system that is so diametrically opposed to capitalism that I wonder if that’s possible without some sort of a revolution or global movement 🤔

In order to keep standard of living in the way that it is now, the only real solution is the energy transition. Yes, it is true that it’s limited by tech right now, but we are now where near that limitation practically speaking! Forcing a “green-race” to foster innovation should be a goal as well!

In the same spirit, let’s stop calling it climate change, and call it the climate crisis!
